Spent $180 on a thermal imager for wire chafing checks. Game changer.
Found hot breakers on a 737 in under 5 minutes last month. Used to spend an hour with a mirror and flashlight digging through bundles. Never going back.

Wait you found a hot breaker on a 737 in under five minutes? That's insane. I spent two hours last week chasing a ghost short in a bundle on a CRJ with nothing but a mirror and my phone flashlight. Ended up praying I didn't miss anything. A thermal imager would've caught that in seconds. Honestly kinda jealous but also impressed you pulled the trigger on one for $180. Most guys I know would rather burn through a whole shift than spend that much on a tool.
