Had a coolant hose blow on a 2012 F-150 I was working on yesterday
I used a cheap nipper plier set to get the old clamp off but it took way too long so has anyone tried those remote cable operated hose clamp pliers for tight spots like that?

Man those tight spots are the worst, feel your pain on that one.

Feel your pain" is putting it mildly. I swear I spent twenty minutes trying to get my socket to line up with a bolt in my truck's engine bay last weekend. My arm was bent at an angle that would make a pretzel jealous, and I could barely get two fingers in there. Ended up dropping the damn socket three times before I finally got it to catch. At that point you just sit there and wonder if the car is mocking you personally.

Grabbed a wobble extension from my toolbox and it saved my whole afternoon on that job.
