A painter in Billings told me to stop wet sanding at 600 and I finally tried it
I always took my blocks up to 800 before sealer because that's how the old guy I trained under did it. Last week a painter named Rick at a shop in Billings told me 600 is plenty for 2K primer and that I was just burning time and paper. Tried it on a Tacoma bed side and the sealer laid down with zero sand scratches, saved me maybe 40 minutes on one panel. Anyone else cut back their grit and not see a difference in the final cut and buff?
