Accidentally took 500 photos of Jupiter before I noticed

I was out with my telescope last Tuesday night, just snapping away at Jupiter like I always do. Got home and imported everything to my computer, feeling all proud. Turns out I had 508 photos of the same fuzzy dot because my mount wasn't tracking properly and I didn't realize for almost an hour. Anyone else ever get carried away and shoot way more than you meant to?

@murphy.abby probably triple-checked their mount after seeing this post.

Wait hold on, 508 photos of the same fuzzy dot? Thats a whole new level of autopilot I didn't know existed. Im honestly impressed you kept snapping for nearly an hour without double checking the mount. Bet your computer hated importing all those files too.

Oh man, that reminds me of the time I left my GoPro recording for 6 hours on a hotel nightstand thinking I was filming a timelapse.
