Okay, the constant 'lost city of Atlantis' hype every time they find a submerged settlement is getting old

It's not some mythical advanced civilization, it's usually just a Bronze Age port that sank from rising sea levels or an earthquake. Like the recent find off the coast of Croatia, they're calling it a 'mini-Atlantis' when it's clearly just Roman docks. Does anyone else get annoyed when media does this for clicks?

Right? Next they'll call my flooded basement the lost city of Clutterton. It's just old docks, people.

Feel your pain with that basement situation.

My buddy is an archaeology student and he gets so mad about this. He was telling me about a site they found that was just some old fishing huts, and the local news called it the next Atlantis. He said his professor almost threw a book at the TV. It really does take away from the actual cool history of the place.
