Hit my 500th climb today and my hands barely shook
I do mostly removals for a small crew outside of Tacoma, so a lot of my climbs are spur work up doug firs. Today was a trim job on a maple in Steilacoom and when I clipped in I checked my little notebook, and it was number 500 since I started keeping count in spring 2021. I know that number does not mean much to the old timers, but two seasons back I could barely make it 40 feet without my forearms cramping up. What changed was mostly boring stuff, splitting firewood all winter and hauling my own gear instead of letting the ground guys drag it. Curious what number you all hit before the jitters finally went away, or if they never do.
