At least you know where it is, which is more than I can say for half the stuff in my garage.

@river_allen oh man, I feel that one. I've got a box labeled "misc electronics" in my garage that I haven't opened in like three years. I mean, I know it's in there somewhere but finding it is a whole different story. Half the stuff in my house is just in piles waiting for me to sort through them someday.

...and that "someday" just keeps getting further away, doesn't it? I've got a whole system of those piles now. It's like archaeological layers in my garage - the stuff from 2020 is at the bottom, then 2021, then 2022 on top. I'm pretty sure there's a working leaf blower under there somewhere but I'll probably just buy a new one before I ever dig it out. The funny thing is that dishwasher kit probably still works fine, you just have to remember you own it first.
