TIL a piece of a milk jug can fix a broken fridge door shelf clip

I was at a job in Tacoma yesterday, a 2018 Whirlpool fridge where the little plastic clip that holds the glass shelf in the door snapped. The part was backordered for 3 weeks. I cut a small rectangle from an empty milk jug, folded it, and wedged it into the clip slot. It held the shelf tight and the customer was happy. Has anyone else used a weird household item as a temporary fix?

Until the duct tape fails. Then you need more duct tape.
