That washing machine balance ring fight took me 4 hours
Had a Samsung washer last week with a cracked balance ring and figured it'd be a quick swap. Took me 4 hours to wrestle that thing off because the clips were seized up tight, had to use a heat gun and a pry bar on each one. Anyone else run into this with front-loaders?

Heard from a repair guy that Samsung uses some kind of industrial glue on those rings now. Bet that's why yours was so stuck.

That "industrial glue" bit makes sense actually, lol. I heard they switched to a stronger adhesive after the whole battery swelling debacle a few years back, so it probably bonds everything together like crazy now. It's annoying for repairs but I guess Samsung figures most people just trade in their phones before that becomes an issue.
