Wasted $80 on a streaming service that only had bad dubs for older shows

I paid for a full year of RetroAnimeStream because they claimed to have the original Japanese audio for every title, but when I tried to watch Maison Ikkoku it was only the obscure English dub from 2003 and they wouldn't give me a refund - has anyone else gotten burned by a niche anime site promising the world?

Ugh, I got stuck paying for Crunchyroll years before I learned to check the audio options first.

Feel you on that one. I did the same thing with a streaming service for months before realizing I could switch the audio. It stinks when you find out you've been missing something simple the whole time.

Right, the audio thing is killer. Did the same with my TV, had the dialogue sounding tinny for a year before I found a 'voice clarity' setting buried in the menus. Now I tell everyone to check for 'night mode' or 'speech enhancement' options, it's literally a game changer for hearing what people are actually saying. The worst part is these settings are always hidden three menus deep.
