Saw a huge fight online about whether you should watch filler arcs

One person said filler ruins the pacing and you should always skip it, another argued it gives you more time with the characters. This was under a 'One Piece' review on YouTube. Where do you all stand on filler episodes?

Depends on the show for me. Skipped all the Naruto filler, but watched some of the Bleach stuff because I just wanted more of that world.

Honestly you watched the Bleach filler on purpose? I couldn't even get through the Bount arc, it felt so slow. Tbh I respect the dedication but skipping Naruto filler is the only way to survive that show. Ngl some of those episodes are just painful to sit through.
