I finally get why people watch subbed over dubbed after a convo with my buddy Dave
He told me the original voice actor for Luffy put 20 years into that role and I realized I was missing all the emotional weight by listening to a different take, has anyone else had a moment where a single fact flipped how you watch anime?

Wait, 20 years? That’s almost as long as I’ve been watching the show myself. I had no idea the main guy had been doing it that long.
