Am I the only one who noticed people calling 'slice of life' anime boring when they just watch action?

I had like 3 friends tell me Flying Witch was 'nothing happening' and then they go binge another show where the main character yells every line.

Man I used to skip slice of life stuff too but Flying Witch completely got me. It's like people forgot a show can be enjoyable without explosions every 5 minutes.

My first year of college I watched the first season of Lucky Star like six times because I didn't know what else to do with my spare time. @ericj45 you hit it right on the head though. Flying Witch is the kind of show where you just sit there and breathe a little easier. I think some people just get hooked on the adrenaline and forget that calm can be just as entertaining. Plus the cats in that show are peak.

People get so caught up in the hustle culture mindset that they forget how to just exist without a goal. It's the same reason everyone's always rushing through meals or scrolling their phones instead of just sitting still.
