Switched from gel ink pens to a refillable fountain pen for my journal and it's like night and day
My grocery list entries used to smudge and feather like crazy on cheap paper, but after 3 weeks with a Lamy Safari and some waterproof ink, I can actually read my own handwriting and the pages don't look like a mess, has anyone else found a simple swap that made their journaling way more enjoyable?

UGH the Rorschach test thing is SO real, @leo_fisher would definitely agree waterproof ink is a game changer.

Honestly I used to be a ballpoint loyalist and thought fountain pens were just hipster hype but this post has me rethinking everything. Tbh the waterproof ink angle is what sold me, my grocery lists always end up looking like a Rorschach test.

@susan649 have you tried Noodler's ink though because their bulletproof stuff is crazy tough.
