Got chewed out by an inspector for one stupid mistake with my panel wiring

Last month I had a county inspector fail my install because I left too much slack in the main panel box. He said it looked like a bird's nest and could cause interference with the wireless modules. I started trimming all my wires to exactly 6 inches past the terminal now and it's way cleaner. Has anyone else had an inspector nitpick something that actually made your work better?

Birds nest is exactly what mine looked like before I bought the wire stripper with the built in cutter.

Are you seriously telling me you didn't have a wire stripper before that? I've been doing electrical work for years and I just used a knife and my teeth like a caveman until last month. That bird's nest mess is such a pain to untangle I can't believe you put up with it for so long. Now I'm wondering if I should grab one of those too or if my old man habits are too far gone.
