Shoutout to the old timer at the Tulsa hangar who told me to flip the wrench instead of cussing it
Last Thursday I was fighting a hydraulic line fitting behind the nose gear for 45 minutes, knuckles shredded, because I kept pulling the wrench the same direction with no room to swing it. He walked over, said nothing, just flipped the wrench over so the open end faced the other way and it broke loose in about 10 seconds. What dumb little tricks did you all pick up from somebody else that you wish you'd known on day one?
Wait, he just flipped it over? Like the same wrench, same size and everything, just turned the open end around? That's wild to me because I've definitely done the exact same thing, just yanking on a wrench from the wrong angle for way too long and getting madder by the second. I never once thought to just flip the thing over. 45 minutes down to 10 seconds is nuts.
