Shoutout to the guy who said CRC Electronics Cleaner works better than acetone on old flux residue
He told me after 15 years of scrubbing boards with acetone on airliner nav units, I tried the CRC last Tuesday and it cut my cleaning time in half, has anyone else found a weird cleaner that just works way better than the standard stuff?

Actually CRC is a contact cleaner, not electronics cleaner, they're different products.

Used 3-in-1 oil on an old stereo once, worked great for me.

@gracie89 CRC works great as a contact cleaner though, that stuff gets rid of gunk on switches and pots better than most options I've tried. 3-in-1 oil is fine for some older stuff like Young Kim said, but it can leave a residue that attracts dust over time. Different tools for different jobs, lol.
