Serious question, how do you handle a coworker who thinks they know everything?

I was talking to a younger mechanic at lunch last week, been here maybe 2 years. He told me I was doing my torque checks wrong on a 737 flap track, said I should use a different pattern. I been doing it the same way for 12 years and never had issues. But then I looked it up later and he was actually right about the new procedure from Boeing. Made me wonder how many other things I got stuck in my ways on. Anybody else have a junior guy call you out and make you rethink your whole approach?

My buddy Dave had a 24-year-old apprentice show him a new way to read wiring diagrams on a Gulfstream, and he said it felt like getting caught cheating on a test. Now he asks the kid for tips before he touches anything.
