I stopped fighting for the torque wrench and went with the click type instead
I had a digital torque wrench from Snap-on for 5 years and it kept losing calibration every 6 months no matter how careful I was. Last month I finally switched to a good old click type micrometer and honestly I feel dumb for waiting that long. The digital one was great for logging data but for 90% of my day I just need a solid click and a repeatable feel. Did a flap track fitting on a 737 in Miami with the click type and it was dead nuts on the first go. Anyone else ditch the fancy electronics for something simpler and not regret it?

Oh man, that reminds me of my buddy Dave who ran a body shop and swore by his fancy digital setup until it started lying to him on a classic car resto, he chucked it in a drawer and never looked back! He said the click type just feels more honest in your hands.
