Warning: wasted $40 on a fancy air fryer accessory that was useless

I bought this silicone liner tray set from a popular brand on Amazon last month. It claimed to make cleaning up bacon and fatty foods a breeze. After three tries, the grease still leaked through and the tray warped in the heat. Has anyone found a liner that actually works for crispy bacon without making a mess?

Yeah, I used to just grab any silicone liner thinking they're all the same, but after one warped and dumped grease everywhere I changed my mind. The only ones that have held up for me are the thicker, fiberglass-reinforced mats.

Oh man, you're so right about the warping thing. I actually read somewhere that a lot of cheaper silicone liners have fillers mixed in that can break down after a few uses, especially when they get really hot. That explains why they get all floppy and start leaking grease everywhere. I remember this one blog post from a kitchen gadget tester guy saying the fiberglass reinforced ones are basically the only ones that handle the heat without curling up. It makes sense too because they're way stiffer and don't bend in half when you pick them up. I've been using one for like a year now and it still looks brand new, no stains or weird smells.

@jamesroberts, which brand actually stayed flat in the heat for you?
