My attempt at air fryer 's'mores' ended with a marshmallow fire drill
I was in my kitchen last night, trying to make a quick dessert. I put a few marshmallows on a piece of foil in the air fryer basket, set it to 380 degrees, and walked away for maybe two minutes. I came back to a mini marshmallow volcano, with sticky white foam bubbling over the sides of the foil and onto the heating element, which started smoking. My husband yelled 'Abort mission!' from the living room. Has anyone actually managed to toast marshmallows in one of these things without setting off the smoke alarm?

Didn't I see a whole article about air fryer marshmallow disasters?

Oh man, that's the classic air fryer trap. You gotta watch those things like a hawk, they cook way faster than you think. Maybe try it at a much lower temp and don't walk away next time.

But is it really that big of a deal? I mean, it's just some burnt food, not a house fire. People act like you need to babysit it every second. I've walked away from mine plenty of times and it's usually fine. Maybe some stuff just cooks weird.
