I finally trashed my $50 air fryer after 3 months

I saw all those cheap air fryers on Amazon for like $40 to $60 and thought I was being smart by not spending $150 on a name brand one. Big mistake. The basket started sticking after two weeks and the coating started flaking off into my food. Then the timer just stopped working completely one day and I had to guess when my fries were done. I tried to get a refund but the seller was some random company that didn't even respond. Threw the whole thing in the trash and picked up a decent one on sale for $80 at Target. Anyone else get burned by one of those no-name air fryers?

Funny you say that, I've had my $40 no-name air fryer for over a year now and it still works fine... maybe you just got a lemon or didn't treat it right.

Yeah, honestly that's a fair point. Some people just roughhouse their stuff and then act surprised when it breaks.

Makes me think about how we treat stuff in general these days. Half the time people toss things the second they act up a little without trying to fix them or figure out what went wrong. Just a bigger pattern of everyone expecting perfection for cheap and getting mad when reality hits.
