Hit 300 air fryer meals yesterday and now I'm wondering if that's too many

So I actually counted every time I used my air fryer since I got it last November. Hit 300 uses yesterday. My wife says that's obsessive and I should just admit I replaced my oven. But I argue it's efficient and everything tastes better this way. What's your number? Do you track it or am I the weird one here?

Read a study somewhere that air fryers actually use way less energy than ovens, like 70% less or something wild like that. So you're not just saving time on preheating, you're probably saving on the electric bill too. My buddy hit 400 uses on his and his wife started calling it his "second wife.

The 70% number gets thrown around a lot but it depends on what you're cooking. Air fryers heat a small space fast so for a single serving of fries or chicken tenders, yeah the savings are real. But if you're roasting a whole chicken or a sheet of veggies you're going to have to run it in batches which kills the efficiency. Also the "second wife" thing is only funny until she starts calling the air fryer your mistress. That's when you know the honeymoon phase is over.

The real hidden cost is how many paper towels you burn keeping it clean.
