Air fried a frozen burrito and it came out perfect, what is this witchcraft
I was 100% sure it would just be a soggy mess like the microwave does, but I tried it at 400 for 8 minutes and it was actually crispy on the outside and hot in the middle. Has anyone else had a frozen food surprise that worked way better than expected?

Didn't I read somewhere that the air fryer is basically a tiny convection oven, which makes sense for frozen stuff since it blows hot air all around instead of just heating from one side? I tried frozen egg rolls in mine and they turned out way better than the oven, got that crunch without the inside being cold. I've seen people say the key is not overcrowding the basket so the air can actually move around.

Air fryer saved my frozen food game too. Try fish sticks next, they come out killer.

Well actually the air fryer is basically just a small convection oven, you're right about that. But the real trick with frozen stuff isn't just the hot air blowing around, it's that the basket lets the grease drip off so things get way crispier than in a regular oven. I've found that spraying a tiny bit of oil on whatever you're cooking helps too, especially for stuff like fish sticks or mozzarella sticks that need that extra crunch. And yeah, not overcrowding is huge. If you pile stuff in, it steams instead of crisps and you end up with soggy food. That's probably the biggest mistake people make with air fryers, they treat it like a microwave and just dump everything in.
