Overheard a guy at a coffee shop talking about AI art detectors

I was grabbing a latte downtown last Tuesday and this guy next to me was telling his friend about how his company started running all their design submissions through an AI detector. He said it flagged about 30% of their freelance work as AI-generated, but when they double checked, half of those were clearly hand-drawn. That got me thinking about how much we're trusting these tools without questioning them. Has anyone else run into false positives with AI detection in their own work or hiring?
