How an AI scheduling tool saved my team's deadlines last month

I was at a project kickoff in Austin when someone casually mentioned using AI to auto-arrange meeting times based on everyone's calendars. Tried it with our 8-person team last Thursday, and it cut our planning down from 45 minutes to 2 minutes. Has anyone else found a tool like this that actually works without constant tweaking?

Gotta say this kinda thing bugs me more than it should. The real problem isn't saving 2 minutes on scheduling, its the fact that we let machines decide when we show up for each other. I tried one of these tools last month and it booked back to back 15 minute slots across three different time zones with zero buffer time. My whole afternoon was a blur of jumping between calls. Nobody actually talked through what we needed before the meetings either. The tool just looked at empty calendar squares and filled them in like Tetris blocks. Sometimes the friction of finding time actually makes people think about whether a meeting needs to happen at all.
