Appreciation post: AI writing tool that caught my bad habit

Honestly, I used an AI grammar tool for a month to check my work emails. It flagged that I start every sentence with 'Honestly' or 'Ngl' like 80% of the time. I had no clue I was that repetitive until it showed me the stats. Now I mix it up more, but it's weirdly hard to break after 5 years of typing the same way. Anyone else have an AI tool point out something embarrassing about how you write?

Honestly (lol I can't help it) that thing about catching your own bad habits really hit me. It's like when I noticed I always say "you know what I mean" at the end of sentences. Once the AI pointed it out, I couldn't unsee it. Makes me wonder what other automatic stuff we do without realizing. Like how I always put my coffee cup in the exact same spot on my desk every morning. Little patterns everywhere once you start looking.

Nah, gotta disagree with @nancycooper on this one. Catching those little habits is exactly the point - if we just excuse every quirk as "that's how people talk" we'd never grow or improve. A year from now you'll be glad you fixed it, even if it feels weird right now.
