The afternoon I redid my laundry room with leftover stucco mix

Had a crazy discovery last Thursday while tidying up the garage. That half bag of stucco mix from my patio job two months back actually matched my laundry room wall almost perfectly. I patched a 3 foot crack that had been bugging me since we bought this place in January, and it took maybe 45 minutes total. The texture came out a touch rougher than the original, but nobody will notice unless they run their hand across it. Anyone else try using exterior materials indoors for small fixes, or am I just asking for trouble down the road?

Stucco indoors is a gamble but honestly if it matches and holds up, who cares. Moisture is the real enemy, laundry rooms get humid so keep an eye on that patch peeling. You bought time and saved money, that's a win in my book. Worst case you scrape it and redo with the right stuff later. Rough texture adds character anyway, beats staring at that crack.
