Burned $300 on a "specialty" foam insulation spray that ruined my garage walls
I bought that Froth-Pak 600 kit from Home Depot thinking I'd save a bunch on insulating my detached garage. The cans were supposed to be easy to use but the gun clogged after 10 minutes and the foam dripped everywhere, peeling off the drywall in chunks. Has anyone else had this stuff fail on them or did I just get a bad batch?

I see you mentioning "saving a bunch" but honestly that stuff is tricky even for pros. I tried that exact Froth-Pak kit a couple years back and had the same issue with the gun clogging... but I think the real problem is people don't prep the surface right. If your drywall isn't perfectly clean and dry the foam just slides off. You gotta use that special release agent spray first or it'll peel every time. Mine stuck fine on concrete blocks but the wood framing was a disaster.

And this is just how things go anymore, isn't it? You pay extra for something hoping it'll be easier or better, and it ends up making a bigger mess than the cheap stuff would have. I've noticed that with a lot of home improvement products lately, they promise the moon and then you're stuck with a headache and a big cleanup bill.
