Yeah, that combo is seriously harsh on your skin barrier. I made the same mistake years ago, applying them one right after the other. My derm said you need at least a few hours between them, or better yet, use them on alternate nights. It's not just BP, mixing retinol with any strong acid like vitamin C can cause similar irritation. Do you have a good moisturizer to help with the recovery?

Totally agree with @thomas.ruby, alternating nights is the only way my skin can handle it. Ever try putting your moisturizer on before the treatment to buffer it a bit?

Wait, really? I always thought you could layer them if your skin was tough enough.
