Picked up a fresh marketing angle from a beach vendor
While on a trip to Bali, I talked to a local seller about how he attracts tourists. He explained his method of relying on word-of-mouth and simple signs rather than online ads. What travel experiences have given you new ideas for marketing?

That Bali vendor's approach really shows how sometimes simple works better than complicated. I've seen that too with food trucks at home just using chalkboards instead of social media, and they always have a line. It's cool how the best ideas come from just watching what actually works for people.

Seriously, a beach vendor in Bali has better marketing than my whole team. @kellyjones, those food trucks are onto something with just a chalkboard. Maybe we're all overthinking this?

Heard this exact thing from a buddy who runs a tiny surf shop in Costa Rica. He ditched all his Facebook ads and just put up a handwritten board on the main road with the day's wave report and a joke. Said his foot traffic doubled and people actually stopped to talk instead of just scrolling past.

Wait, did I read that right? A beach vendor in Bali has better marketing than a whole expert team? That is crazy. @kellyjones, you hit on something with the food truck chalkboards, because it's the same idea. We dump tons of money into fancy online ads, but people just want real, simple talk. It's like we forget that marketing is just talking to people. Seeing this work so well in real life is a big shock.
