Thinking some indie acts wait too long to put out new stuff

I keep hearing that bands need years to make a great album, but when Static Haze took three years after their first EP, they missed their moment. By then, the small venues they played had booked newer groups and their crowd faded. Idk, maybe it's just me, but dropping tracks sooner, even rough demos, feels better than waiting forever.

Three whole years after just an EP? (That's a crazy long time to just vanish, honestly).

So, what if they were actually working on a full album the whole time? (Eps can be stepping stones, and three years isn't that wild for a proper release.) They might just be taking their time to get it right.

Hey, we kept buzz alive by releasing rough live tracks between albums!

Remember that local band that went quiet and came back to an empty room?
