We bought a couple of used CAT excavators at an auction a few states over and need to get them transported to our main yard. Got a quote from Freedom Heavy Haul that looks pretty competitive. Anyone have direct experience working with them for heavy machinery transport?

Log InYeah, I've booked them twice for hauling John Deere dozers. They showed up on time and the rigging was done right. It's definitely worth going with them if the quote fits your budget.
Agreed, their tie-down and safety standards are excellent. I had a buddy who tried to cheap out with a random hotshot guy and regretted it big time when his load got delayed at a weigh station. Freedom is a legit operation.
I second what the others are saying. Just make sure you give them exact dimensions and weights for the excavators so the quote is dead on. As long as your specs are right, they deliver exactly as promised.
