Clearing a site last week had me doubting the biofuel switch
All the talk is about being green, but the power drop meant we ran behind schedule. Maybe we should work on making what we have cleaner instead of jumping to new tech.

Look at the power dip as a teething problem, not a deal breaker. The newer biofuel models are getting way better output than even a year ago. Sticking with old gear is just kicking the can down the road, lol.

How long until these teething problems are actually fixed? I mean, the power dip can mess up your whole setup if it kicks in at the wrong time. Maybe it's just me, but I've heard even recent biofuel units can stall out in cold weather. Upgrading non-stop seems like a hassle when older gear might just need a tune-up.

Wait, they stall in cold weather now too... That's new. My old unit never did that, just got sluggish.

Upgrading non-stop seems like a hassle" - you said it. I've seen THREE neighbors swap out biofuel units in two years because of cold weather stalling. That's not a teething problem, that's just bad design. My old gasifier from 2019 never did that, just needed a new glow plug last winter.
