Vent: My friend swore she saw my car in two places at once, and I thought she was nuts.

She called me from the grocery store parking lot, insisting my blue Honda Civic with the dented bumper was there, but I was sitting in my driveway 15 miles away. I drove over just to prove her wrong, and the car was gone, but she had a picture on her phone. Has anyone had a friend witness a double of something you own?

Okay but she had a picture on her phone. That's the part that gets me. You can't just dismiss that as her being nuts. Maybe it was a crazy coincidence with the same car model and a similar dent. But what are the odds of that? Sometimes weird stuff happens and we just write it off too fast.

The photo could have been taken anytime, @matthewharris. That dent looks like a common parking lot scrape. I've seen three silver sedans with that same mark this month. People see what they want to see in a blurry picture.

My buddy had a picture of a weird license plate that showed up in his driveway. Turned out to be his neighbor's cousin visiting from out of state. The exact same weird coincidence.
