Pro tip: Keeping ferns alive taught me to watch for humidity

I had two ferns that kept getting brown tips and dropping leaves. I tried moving them around the house and adjusting how much I watered them. Nothing seemed to help for more than a week. Then I thought about how ferns grow in shady, damp woods outside. I put them in my bathroom where the shower steam makes the air moist. Now they are full and green, and I just give them a light misting. It was a simple fix once I stopped overthinking it.

Same here, I killed two ferns before figuring that out.

Reminds me @michael_wright90, I even killed a cactus once.

I was the same way, always figured tough plants could handle anything. But then my snake plant almost died and it totally changed how I water everything now.
