I found my great-aunt's old quilling kit and thought it was just a weird paper craft.

I opened the box in her attic last weekend and saw these thin paper strips and a little tool, so I tried making a simple flower shape. After about an hour of rolling and gluing, I ended up with this really cool, detailed design that I framed, and now I'm totally hooked on this quiet, old-school art. Has anyone else picked up a craft from a relative's attic that turned out to be surprisingly fun?

My grandma's button jar taught me more patience than any app ever could.

Wait, you made something that good on your first try?

That's so cool you got into it. Makes you wonder how many other old hobbies are just sitting in boxes, waiting for someone to find them.
