From my shop, extra time on bouquets always beats rushing

Honestly, I disagree with florists who say quick turns are key. Tbh, giving each arrangement proper time makes it stand out. For instance, I waited a week for garden roses to open fully for a bride. Her photos showed blooms that looked amazing and held up all day. Ngl, it meant pushing my schedule back, but the happy reviews were worth it. We should stop praising speed and start focusing on careful work.

Totally get what you mean about things that last. My buddy handmade a wooden crib for his niece and spent weeks getting the finish just right. The parents told him it's the smoothest thing they've ever touched, and the kid still uses it years later. Makes you wonder why we ever settle for rushed jobs, doesn't it?

Ugh, I rush stuff all the time and it always shows. My last DIY project looked so bad I had to hide it, which proves @noahmartin's point about sloppy work. Guess some of us are still learning the hard way.

Yeah... you're spot on with this. Rushing just leaves you with sloppy work that nobody remembers. People might not see all the extra hours, but they can tell when something's done right. I see it all the time with cars, honestly... a quick fix never lasts. That bride got flowers she'll remember forever instead of just some thing that got done fast. That's what really matters.
