Can we talk about a money tip I heard at the coffee shop?
I was waiting in line and this guy was telling his friend he puts $25 from every paycheck into a separate account just for car repairs. He said it saved him from using a credit card when his brakes went out last month. Do you think a set amount like that works better than just saving what's left over?

Yeah, "how does he figure out the right amount" is the real trick, my mechanic always says I drive a money pit.
