My attempt at a 'deconstructed' blazer for a client in Seattle went hilariously wrong last week
I was trying to make this cool, asymmetrical jacket with one sleeve and exposed seams... but when my client, Karen, tried it on, it just looked like a regular blazer that got caught in a shredder. She stared at herself in the mirror for a full minute before asking if it was meant to be worn inside out. Has anyone else had a 'high concept' piece completely flop in a fitting?

Oh man, that reminds me of my 'artfully distressed' jeans that just looked dirty.

Did you actually buy them or did you see sense and walk away? I've never understood paying a premium for clothes that look worn out before you even wear them. It just seems like a bad deal.

Wait, you actually paid extra for jeans that looked dirty? @susan649, that's wild. I saw a pair like that last week and just thought someone had a really bad fall. The holes were in such weird spots, like who rips their jeans right on the thigh like that on purpose? It just seems like a total scam to charge more for less fabric. Did you ever get them or did you put them back?
