Shoutout to the guy who told me to check capacitors before ordering a new motherboard
Spent $120 on a replacement board for a dead monitor before realizing the old one just had two bulging caps. Has anyone else thrown money at the wrong part because you skipped the simple stuff?

My buddy Tim spent like two hours swapping out a perfectly good power supply on his gaming rig before he noticed one of the RAM sticks wasn't clicked in all the way. Felt like a real dunce after that one.
