My cheap ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight actually saved a water-damaged tablet
I was sure it was just a gimmick, but after 20 minutes in the tank, the corrosion was gone and it booted. Anyone else have a tool they wrote off that actually works?

Harbor Freight stuff usually breaks in a week.

My buddy bought one of their cheap angle grinders for twenty bucks. The gearbox started making a horrible noise after maybe ten minutes of cutting some rebar. It locked up solid and smoked before the cutoff wheel even got through the metal. That thing was basically a disposable tool you use once and toss.

Yeah, gotta know what to buy there... their Pittsburgh Pro hand tools are actually solid for the money, last for years. But you're right, the really cheap power tools? The ones under twenty bucks? Those are basically single-use. Bought a drill there once and the chuck fell apart on the second job.
