I thought those new lightweight mud pans were just a gimmick for rookies.

Borrowed one on a big ceiling job in Phoenix last summer and my shoulder wasn't screaming after eight hours. What other tools have you guys tried that actually made a difference?

Old tools work fine if you're not weak.

Remember my buddy who swore by his old heavy drill? He got one of those newer brushless ones as a gift and laughed about it. Then he had to frame out a whole attic in July, said his arms just didn't feel like dead weight after. I mean, maybe it's just me, but that seems like the point. Even @taylorellis might admit not being sore at the end of the day is a good thing, not a weak thing. Some stuff is just easier on your body, and that's worth it.

Funny how people act like suffering is a badge of honor. Saw it with guys refusing knee pads, then complaining they can't walk at 50. Same with the old steel toe boots versus the new composite ones. It's not about being weak, it's about being smart enough to not wreck your body for no reason. The job's hard enough already.
