The $60 rush printing gamble that almost tanked my thesis poster
I paid 60 bucks for same-day printing at a shop near campus because my advisor moved the deadline up two hours, and the colors came out fine but the margins were off by half an inch. It saved me from presenting empty space, but I'm still mad I could've used the school's free printer if I'd just checked the queue. Anyone else throw cash at a quick fix and end up with a new problem instead?

That's the classic move where you pay to skip the line and still end up waiting in a different one. Half an inch off is just the universe's way of charging you a stupid tax for trusting a deadline change. At least your poster didn't look like a ransom note, so there's that.
