Hot take: working on projects the night before is actually better for me
Everyone in this group always talks about how last-minute work is a disaster, but last month I finished a full bathroom remodel in two days because I waited until the final weekend. I had all the materials ready but didn't touch the demo until Saturday morning, and I had that thing tiled and grouted by Sunday night. The pressure kept me from overthinking every cut and I didn't waste time rearranging things that were fine. Has anyone else found that the rush actually helps them focus better than planning everything out weeks ahead?

Oh you mean like my friend who re-did his entire front porch in one night because he put off the project for like three months? He said the adrenaline rush made him work twice as fast and he actually got it done cleaner than his other projects where he took forever planning.

Wait, @beth_reed, did your friend say the quality actually held up over time or was he just hyped on adrenaline that night? I'm curious if that rush can really replace solid planning, or if it just feels like it does for a bit. Like, is there a hidden cost to doing it that way?
