The archive room table at my college library finally got a sign

I walked into the diploma archive room downtown last Tuesday and noticed they added a small placard saying 'research requests take 48 hours, please plan ahead'. Caught my eye because I've been waiting a week for a transcript copy from the same desk, so either the sign is new or they just ignore it. Has anyone else had luck getting their old records faster by asking for a specific person by name?
