A stranger at the DMV gave me a diploma shortcut I never saw coming

Waiting in line for 40 minutes in Austin, this retired teacher mentioned that some online diploma programs accept work experience credit, so I checked mine and knocked 6 classes off my schedule, has anyone else pulled this off or did I just get lucky?

I've sat in that same Austin line more times than I care to count and all I got was a headache and a number ticket that was somehow 30 numbers off. So you're saying you actually went home, checked your stuff, and the school just said "yeah, sure, here's six fewer classes"?
