Wasted $400 on a 'nomad friendly' coworking membership that was a total lie
I signed up for a monthly pass at a place in Medellin called CoWork Central after they bragged about fast wifi and quiet zones. First day, the internet kept dropping every 20 minutes and the 'quiet zone' was right next to a construction site. I tried to talk to the manager about it and he just shrugged and said 'maybe try another cafe'. Lost the whole $400 with no refund and had to work from my hostel bed for two weeks. Anyone else fall for those overhyped coworking spots that look perfect online but are garbage in person?

Not gonna lie, I had a totally different experience there. I was there for a month in March and the wifi was solid for me, even did video calls without issues. The construction noise was annoying but they moved me to the other side when I asked.

Grace, did they put you in a newer building or something? Sounds like you got lucky with the better rooms.

Same thing happened to me last year. Asked and they moved me quick.
