PSA: I just read that Chiang Mai has over 50 co-working spaces now
Found that stat in a local digital nomad guidebook at a cafe here. Has anyone found a city with a better ratio of workspaces to cost of living?

Honestly, 50 just sounds like a lot of places to pay for bad wifi. The math on that ratio never seems to work out.

Remember that hotel in Denver that bragged about free high speed internet on every floor? I spent half an hour on the phone with their support just to get a login page to load... it finally kicked on right as we were checking out. Felt like they saved maybe twelve cents on a router from 2004.

That line about saving twelve cents on an old router is exactly it. Hotels treat wifi like a fancy bonus instead of something we actually need to function. They'll put a mint on the pillow but won't pay for a decent internet signal. It makes the whole stay feel cheap, like they're cutting corners everywhere. You just know someone in management decided the cheapest option was good enough.
