Week of winning art contests then zero sales, what gives?
Last month I submitted 3 pieces to a local online showcase and took home 2nd place, then the following week the same pieces got maybe 4 views on my portfolio and zero inquiries. The win felt great in the moment, but it didn't translate to any actual attention or commissions, which makes me wonder if contest recognition is even worth chasing for exposure. Has anyone else had a big showcase win that fizzled out, or did it actually open doors for you down the line?

That sweet win then radio silence is such a letdown.
